Shri M.R. Sharma was an Indian astrologer (1933–2014) and the main follower of KP System of astrology which is also known as Krishnamurti Paddhati. He was a researcher of “Innovative Medical Astrology” and was awarded Many Lifetime Achievement in West Bengal and Rajasthan. The place is associated with the name of Saint Ramakrishna Paramhamsa and Mahant NarayanDas ji of Triveni Dham. He was a great devotee of Maa Kaali and Maa Dakshineshwar. Shri M.R. Sharma was initiated into spiritual practice by self inspiration at the age of 15th. He was a great Sanskrit Scholar as well as a Genius Mathematician. After finishing his Secondary education Shri M.R. Sharma entered the service of the Government of Rajasthan in the Education Department. He studied the Hindu and Western systems of Astrology thoroughly, but was deeply disappointed at the inadequacy and lack of precision of both. He noticed that theory of Prof. K.S. Krishnamurthy about a planet in its period invoked the results of a house with which it is not connected by occupation, ownership, association or aspect which are the ordinary considerations in prediction. This opened his eyes to the supreme importance of constellations in prediction. He established by his researches on thousand of Birth Chart that the results of a planet (in its period) are strongly modified by the lord of the constellation in which it is posited according to the occupation, ownership, association and aspects of the latter. As he told to his disciples by that day he was fond of K.P. System of astrology.

Shri M.R. Sharma understood the theory of Prof. K.S. Krishnamurthy of difference in the result should be attributed to the exact portion of the constellation occupied by the planet. For determining the zone of the constellation occupied by the tenanting planet the constellation had to be divided in some significant, scientific manner. The idea of dividing the constellation in the mysterious unequal Vimshottari proportion attributed to the honored Sage Parasara struck him. Finally!! 12th, 13th and 14th April 1975 he proved himself and organized an “All India Astrological Convention at the Grand Hotel, Kolkata with the Chairmanship of Dr. B.V. Raman and with the presidency of Shri Murari Mohan Vedentadi Tirtha. He served people through astrology as on March, 2014. On 09.03.2014 (the day of his death) Pt. M.R. Sharma awoke early, went to the monastery at Kaali Ghat and meditated there for few hours… According to his disciples and neighbor, Pt. M.R. Sharma rupture of a blood vessel in his brain was reported as a possible cause of death which date was already declared by him to his family members.
